Independent Domestic Violence Advocate

£13.81 per hour

Based in and around London

Job Responsibilities:

Manage high-risk domestic violence cases, conducting risk assessments and creating safety plans.

Provide practical and emotional support to survivors, focusing on legal advice, housing needs, and tenancy support.

Work with external agencies, such as police, health services, and schools, to ensure coordinated support for survivors.

Lead and participate in Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) to protect survivors and their children.

Maintain accurate case records, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection policies.

Provide court support, including preparation for hearings and trials.

Job Requirements:

Strong knowledge of domestic violence support, criminal justice processes, and legal remedies.

Experience in case management and multi-agency collaboration.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to advocate for survivors.

Understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to act appropriately.

Experience using case management systems and completing thorough documentation.

Commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, including LGBTQ+ and disabled individuals.
