Band 2 - £11.45 - £20.95 per hour (shift dependent)
10 x Cleaners working 15 hours per week Monday - Friday from 6.00am – 9.00am

Overview
We are looking for Cleaners to join our friendly team. Our Cleaning Services team provide and maintain the highest standard of service to patients, visitors and staff, ensuring the highest degree of cleanliness, safety and care at all times. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital and designated wards or departments in line with the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.
Duties will include
* Ensure a timely and accurate response to all cleaning requests.
* Work in partnership with the Ward Team, Facilities Team Leader for Cleaning / Facilities
* Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards and infection control practices in the department as appropriate.
* Maintain the integrity and reputation of the department by effective communication and
* harmonious attitudes with patients, staff and visitors.
* Ensure patient dignity and privacy is respected at all times.
* Safe use of cleaning Chemicals equipment/assemble and dismantle cleaning equipment;
and order stock.
You’ll have the following skills/experience
* Knowledge or training equivalent to NVQ Level 1/ 2 in Cleaning and Support Services.
* Knowledge of cleaning/hygiene COSSH procedures.
* Experience cleaning in a domestic environment including knowledge of cleaning procedures and processes.
* Experience of Working/communicating with the general public.
* Experience of working in a healthcare environment advantageous.
* Cross-site working between City and Queens Medical Centre may be required.
