About the Role:

As a Technical Operator, you will play a key role in the efficient operation of our client’s production processes, supporting, coaching, and training your team.

Responsibilities:

* Work in a hands-on capacity within the manufacturing area, to gain in-depth knowledge and proficiency in the specific processes of that area. Following this period, transition to other production areas within the organisation to acquire expertise in their respective processes.

* Ensure production schedules remain on schedule to ensure timely completion of manufacturing deadlines.

* Continuously monitor production processes, identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.

* Conduct quality control inspections to verify that products conform to specified standards and tolerances.

* Diagnose and resolve equipment and process-related issues to minimise downtime.

* Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.

* Always ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

* Maintain accurate and detailed production records

* Work cross-functionally with other departments to optimise production workflows and drive process improvements.

* Once proficient, train and mentor new employees on equipment operation, process workflows, and safety standards.

* Generate regular reports for supervisors and engineering teams, detailing production performance, encountered challenges, and proposed or implemented improvements.

Skills

* Expertise in training and mentoring production teams.

* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, equipment, and quality management systems, including industry best practices and compliance standards.

* Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills

* Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various departments
