Precision People is proud to be working with an industry-leading established company with upwards of 50 years experience in the engineering industry. Specialising in surface non-destructive testing (NDT) the company is looking for an ambitious individual to train up in various testing, calibration and manufacturing methods. 

The Role - Trainee NDT Technician:

Conducting a range of non destructive testing to a broad range of manufactured parts and components.
Conducting process control checks according to written procedures.
Processing customer hardware with care, making accept/reject decisions, and generating test reports.
Liaising with customers during hardware delivery and collection.
Calibrating equipment both in-house and on-site at customer premises (training provided)
Recording and reporting calibration findings.
Manufacturing NDT equipment, including internal wiring and fabricating components using tools such as lathes and pillar drills.
Demonstrating abilities during internal and external audits and examinations.
Key Experience / Skills Needed - Trainee NDT Technician:

Holds assembly, fitting, quality, testing or inspection experience within a mechanical manufacturing environment
Experience working to written specifications, following engineering procedures and/or recording of test/check results
Holds NDT qualification (EN4179 Level 2 or similar) or holds an applicable mechanical/engineering qualification
Full UK driving licence required for this position.
Good verbal and written communication skills for following procedures and compiling reports.
Professional demeanour for interacting with clients and auditing agencies.
Flexible approach to work, able to adapt to changing requirements and work independently as part of a small team.
Salary/Package - Trainee NDT Technician:

Starting salary between £24,000-£30,000
Starting salary will be dependent on experience
Working hours Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30pm-1:30pm
