Legal Officer- London- 35 hours a week - Immediate Start

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector and Not-for-Profit is proud to be working with a trade union with a membership of over half a million nurses, midwives, nursing support workers and students, to appoint a Techncial Accountant for this 15 month contract opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

What the Legal Officer will be doing:-

To provide legal advice and representation to members in regulatory law proceedings
Provide advice and representation to members in other Regulatory matters such as Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) cases, including representations and appeals in barring cases and in challenging DBS enhanced disclosure entries (including Judicial Reviews)
Manage caseloads and, in conjunction with lawyers and support staff within the department, work as part of the regulatory law team and the wider Legal Department
Ensure the delivery of quality and cost effective legal services to members, demonstrating the efficient use of resources, in accordance with the terms of membership contract, professional standards and and departmental strategic objectivesWhat the Paralegal will bring to the team:-

Law degree or equivalent legal experience
Experience of gathering information and presenting it in an understandable format
High level expertise in an accounting software packages
Ability to draft correspondence, selecting and interpreting information
Health sector experienceBenefits:

Monday to Friday with no weekends
£22.96 per hour.
