Field Service Engineer

Alecto Recruitment is working with their client who have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their operations team. This is a dynamic role where you will be required to work at various customer sites, providing essential servicing and resolving issues on a range of heavy plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer site visits to service and resolve problems on heavy plant equipment, including wheeled loaders, excavators, track loaders, shredders, screens, and waste handlers.
Liaising with the service team and technical support to identify and solve issues, including ordering necessary parts.
Completion of reports and recording working hours for each job completed.
Ensuring high-quality customer service, ensuring minimal downtime for equipment and keeping customers informed on progress.Knowledge & Experience:

Extensive knowledge of a range of heavy plant machinery, including:
Wheeled Loaders
Excavators
Track Loaders
Shredders
Screens
Waste Handlers
Experience with the following brands is advantageous:
Case Construction Equipment
Terex Ecotec
Keestrack
Solid understanding of:
Hydraulic and electrical schematics
Engine aftertreatment systems (SCR, DPF)
Electrical circuits
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
IT literacy and good communication skills are essential for report submissions and liaising with the team.Qualifications:

Full UK Driving Licence.
Apprentice NVQ Level 3 in plant maintenance or a similar qualification.
Quarry Passport and Passport to Safety are essential.
Air Conditioning qualification is desirable.Personal Attributes:

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Flexible approach to working hours, including potential late nights or weekend work when required.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.The Package:

Basic Working Hours: 08:00 to 16:30 / 40 hours per week.
Overtime: Opportunities available as required.
