2020 Recruitment are working with a Glenrothes based manufacturing company who are looking for a Supply Chain Administrator to join their team.
This is a permanent contract, and the successful candidate will lead the supply chain responsibilities of the business.
Ideally you will come from a manufacturing background, but other industries may be considered.
The Role
The Supply Chain Administrator will play a critical role in coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and optimising logistics processes to meet production and delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for driving operational excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Supply Chain Administrator your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
* Manage inventory levels and track stock movements using inventory management systems.
* Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics, such as lead times and on-time delivery.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to optimise supply chain processes.
* Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, inventory levels, and supplier contracts.
* Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, deliveries, or inventory.
* Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements affecting the supply chain
Requirements
To be considered for the Supply Chain Administrator you must have the following experience:
* Proven experience in supply chain or logistics, with experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing industry.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management software.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
* Knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry standards.
