Wilson Recruitment is seeking a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy and dynamic team in Wellingborough. This role offers the opportunity to work with a range of commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring they meet MOT standards. You'll be part of a team that delivers high-quality services, including industrial and power generation engine maintenance, trailer servicing, and 24-hour support.

Minimum of 40 hours per week, 5 nights a week (night-shift), full time, permanent, Monday - Friday, 22:00 - 06:00

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various commercial vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards.

* Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

* Attend roadside breakdowns and on-site customer premises to provide vehicle assistance.

* Ensure vehicles are handled carefully, following health and safety procedures.

* Liaise with the parts department to source necessary parts.

* Complete all job cards and service sheets accurately and on time.

* Maintain a clean and organised workspace.

* Stay up to date with relevant product knowledge and attend training as required.

Candidate Requirements:

* Technical qualification: City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ qualified technician.

* Strong communication skills and a problem-solving attitude.

* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

* Awareness of health and safety standards.

* Desired but not essential: HGV licence, Forklift licence, or experience with Scania products.
