Senior Accountant required for our highly respected and established accountancy practice firm based in Brierley Hill. our client provides a range of Accountancy Services to varied business sectors and they are proud of their long-lasting relationships, representing some clients since the time of the company''s formation.
An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Accountant to join their Practice. Reporting to the Directors this is a fantastic opportunity for an accountancy professional who would like to progress through to Partner level in the future.
If you are currently a Senior Accountant with exceptional business acumen, communication and management skills, together with a broad technical and managerial background then this role could be ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* To plan accountancy tasks and jobs ensuring the most efficient use of resources and the team
* Review all completed jobs as required and provide feedback to clients
* Oversee the successful completion of jobs, supporting and assisting the Practice Partners as & when needed.
* Hiring new trainees and delivering appropriate training
* Handling multiple clients (limited companies, sole traders and partnerships – all sectors), with all matters relating to their affairs – e.g. VAT, Statutory Accounts, Corporation Tax Returns, Self-Assessment and taxation or other related reports.
Required Skills and Experience
* ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant with Senior Practice & Audit experience
* You will be overseeing and leading the full provision of the firm’s services. Audit experience in a managerial capacity is essential.
* You will have great communication skills, interacting with both Clients and colleagues at all levels
* You will be able to accept responsibility, be articulate and work to strict deadlines.
* You must have senior audit experience and Good technical knowledge of accounting standards and audit methodology
* Experience of Sage accounts package and Iris ideally.
* Extremely IT literate including Excel and have up to date knowledge of the latest Accounting & Tax legislation

Salary Guide: c£50k - £60 basic + excellent Benefits Package.
