My client, a reputable and successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy is seeking an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join their team in Leicester. The company specialises in providing top-quality structural design solutions and focuses on technical excellence and innovative approaches. They work across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
Key Responsibilities
This role as a Chartered Structural Engineer include:
Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing for a range of projects, with an emphasis on masonry, groundworks, and temporary works.
Produce detailed and accurate design calculations, drawings, and reports.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Conduct site inspections and coordinate with construction teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
Prepare technical documentation for regulatory and planning submissions.
Keep up-to-date with relevant industry codes, standards, and best practices.Requirements:
To be considered for this Chartered Structural Engineer role, candidates must have a professional and commercial mindset, demonstrated by the following qualifications and experience:
Chartered status with ICE, IStructE, or a comparable body.
A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering.
Strong experience in structural analysis and design, with a focus on masonry, groundworks, and temporary works.
In-depth knowledge of UK building codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
