A multi-discipline practice is London is looking to add three Building Safety Regulations Principal Designers to their Health & Safety division.
 
My client is medium sized practice who boasts over five offices across the UK, they employ over 60 construction professionals across cost & project management, building surveying and M&E. The organisation prides themselves on delivering accurate advice across the built environment. Commercial, education, residential, industrial, healthcare and defence are sectors the practice deliver schemes in.
 
Due to the continued success and a healthy pipeline of instructions an opportunity has arisen for a Building Safety Regulations Principal Designer to join the division. You the successful BSR PD will work in collaboration with other departments undertaking projects across London, the South-East and other surrounding home counties.
 
Ideally you will come from either a Building Inspector or Building Control background and have proven building regulations experience. This is a client facing role, you will liaise with important stakeholders and demonstrate high levels of expertise.
 
Responsibilities

Providing comprehensive advice on Building Safety Act & Building Regulations
Ensuring all projects and works is carried out under new safety act
Carryout building inspections, site visits, surveys and prepare report
Inspect buildings at key stages of construction
Work closely with Principal Designers, Contractors, Architects, and other teams to ensure project compliance.
Attend client and design team meetings to offer professional input relation to building regs compliance.
Review and approve plans submitted for Building Regulation approval 
BSR Principal Designer

BSc in Building Surveying or other construction related degree
A full Member of RICS, CABE or CIOB
Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations/Building Safety Act (etc codes & legislation)
Building safety registered (advantageous)
Great interpersonal & communication skills
Full UK driver’s licence
