We are recruiting a full-time, Teaching Assistant to support within Year 2 for a Primary School in L4, Liverpool, starting in September 2024. There could be the option of securing a permanent contract for the right person.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in their Key Stage 1 department for a Year 2 Teaching Assistant who can start in September.

Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities:

* Use specialist skills/training/experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and so progress
* Undertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies eg. Literacy, numeracy, KS1 recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacher
* Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use
* To work with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning

Non-negotiables:

* Previous experience of working with children aged 4-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity
* Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
* Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 1 upwards
* Good numeracy and literacy skills
