Primary Teacher - Primary SEMH School, Southampton

Academics are seeking an experienced and empathetic Primary Teacher to carry out a full-time assignment in a Primary SEMH School in Southampton. This is a full-time opportunity starting ASAP, on-going.

They are a small special school in Southampton catering for children aged 7-11 years with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated needs such as autism, ADHD and attachment disorders. All of the pupils experience challenging behaviour so this is suited to a Primary Teacher with previous experience of teaching in a similar setting, or with pupils with challenging behaviours and/or special educational needs.

The suitable teacher will be resilient and possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills, but also be empathetic and be able to build positive relationships with the young children.
