We are recruiting a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a lovely primary school in the Derbyshire area.
This is a long-term role (permanent for the suitable candidate), with an immediate start date, or we do have availability to work around you.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-15:30.
Roles and responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with Special Education Needs in both KS1 and KS2
* Support pupils in their academic, social and emotional development
* Adapt your approach to suit each child’s individual needs
* Behaviour management
* Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:
* Must have experience of working with children
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is advantageous
* Experience of supporting individuals with SEN is desirable
* Experience of working in a Primary school setting is advantageous
* Be passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives
* Have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Be able to provide x2 satisfactory references
