Job Role: Forklift Driver, Stock Controller
Our client is seeking a reliable and organised Stock Controller to join their team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth warehouse operations and supporting the wider team. Responsibilities include picking and preparing sales orders for dispatch to customers, ensuring all shipping deadlines are met, and dispatched items meet brand and regulatory standards. You will assist with site activities, including receiving, storage, shipping, and addressing logistics-related issues. The role also involves accurately completing all required paperwork or electronic records for dispatched items, stored goods, and received deliveries, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace, receiving and processing returned goods promptly to ensure inventory accuracy, and safely operating a forklift during daily duties, ensuring compliance with all safety standards. Additionally, you will participate in monthly stock inventory counts, comply with all relevant company health and safety policies, use a computerised stock control system to track and manage incoming and outgoing stock levels, and handle caged or palletised stock, with occasional handballing required.
Qualifications and experience required include hands-on experience with receiving, storing, shipping, picking, packing, and preparing sales orders in a warehouse or stock control role (beneficial but not essential), familiarity with health and safety regulations (particularly in warehouse or catering environments), keen attention to detail, strong organisational skills, the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, and a valid counterbalance forklift licence with relevant experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently (required for all applicants).

Requirements include a valid and in-date counterbalance forklift licence with relevant experience, a full UK driving licence (due to limited public transport availability near the workplace), previous warehouse experience (advantageous but not essential), strong attention to detail and accuracy in task completion, effective communication skills, and a positive work ethic.
