Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer
Location: Thetford

Technique Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be working with our client who are a leading designer and manufacturer of HVAC and building services components and integrated systems for air conditioning, ventilation and fire safety and have a permanent opening for a Multi Skilled Engineer. .
The Role
* Safely maintaining plant, machinery and equipment including the resolution of breakdowns.
* Installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment, including all necessary services / utilities.
* Decommissioning, removal and relocation of plant and equipment including associated services / utilities.
* Root cause analysis of downtime and implementation of corrective actions to improve reliability.
* Development / Improvement of production equipment to deliver enhanced reliability, productivity and quality.
* Development of the factory infrastructure to deliver improved reliability, reduced costs and a better
* To continually improve safety standards, reducing risk and improving statutory compliance.
* To identify and execute projects to continuously improve productivity.
Knowledge and Skills
* Familiarity with common factory processes and techniques including sheet metal punching, and joining.
* Fabrication, welding and machining skills i.e. lathe, milling machine
* Good all-round engineering knowledge including mechanical, electrical, sheet metal, press work, civils, facilities, electro-mechanical assembly, etc.
* Able to fault find electrical and mechanical systems.
* Working knowledge of Statutory and Regulatory compliance relating to the safe maintenance and operation of both factory and facilities plant and equipment (Electrical, ATEX, DSEAR, LOLER, PUWER, HSE, CDM, etc).
* An eye for detail, methodical and analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities and a practical approach.
* An excellent communicator with first class people skills.
Qualifications/Skills
* Recognised NVQ / Apprenticeship / HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline coupled with Mechanical and Electrical skills/experience gained in an Engineering role (Engineering Technician, Maintenance Engineer, etc).
* A sound understanding / awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and approved codes of practice. A thorough understanding and the ability to work from technical manuals, drawings and electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic circuit diagrams.
* Experience with modern HMIs, PLCs and diagnostics.
* Experienced and adept in the selection, use and maintenance of PPE and safe systems of work.
* Numerate and PC literate with experience of working with computerised maintenance management systems and common Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
