Finance Officer

£19 per hour (umbrella)

Full Time Contract (5 months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Finance Officer in Yate. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

Ensure data received from other teams regarding decisions made is complete and accurate
Ensure Finance spreadsheets are kept up to date with decisions made
Support the team with Purchase Order requests, authorising invoices
Liaise with Budget Holders and Service Managers
Support budget setting process and year end functions

The candidate:

Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or equivalent level of qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4)
A good understanding of finance systems (preferably Oracle) in a controlled environment and experience of working with standardised processes
Previous experience working in a similar capacity for a local authority is desirable
Strong Excel skills are essential
