Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Working Hours: 9am-6pm

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team in a busy packing warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, packaging, and preparing products for dispatch in a safe and efficient manner. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Picking and Packing: Accurately picking products from stock and packing them according to customer specifications.

* Order Fulfilment: Ensuring all items are packed and labelled correctly and are ready for timely shipment.

* Quality Control: Checking products for any damage or defects before packing and ensuring packaging meets quality standards.

* Stock Management: Assisting with the organisation of warehouse stock, keeping inventory accurate, and reporting any discrepancies.

* Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and using equipment correctly.

* Team Collaboration: Working as part of a team to ensure warehouse targets are met.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in packing orders and maintaining quality standards.

* Teamwork: Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

* Time Management Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

* Basic Computer Skills: Some experience with inventory systems and scanners is beneficial, though not essential as training will be provided.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment.

* Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for long periods.

* A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic.
