Fire and Security Engineer needed

Position: Fire and Security Engineer
Salary: £35,000 to £42,000 (dependent on experience)
Benefits: Company van and fuel card provided

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, fault-finding, and maintenance of various security systems, including Access Control/Door Entry Systems, CCTV, Fire Alarms, and Emergency Lighting. Experience with Automatic Gates and Intruder Alarms is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform service, fault-finding, and maintenance on Access Control/Door Entry Systems, CCTV, Fire Alarms, and Emergency Lighting.

* Demonstrate strong fault-finding skills and the ability to resolve technical issues during the interview process.

* Undertake installation work as required, ranging from small installations to large sites.

* Ensure all work meets the relevant standards set by our regulatory bodies.

* Communicate effectively with clients and the administration team.

* Work independently with self-motivation and collaborate with other engineers when necessary.

* Participate in a call-out rota as required.

* Cover London and surrounding areas.

Skills and Experience:

Essential Skills:

* Excellent communication skills

* Well-organised, presentable, reliable, with good timekeeping

* Confident with a can-do attitude and the ability to think on your feet to solve problems

* Proficient in the following products:

* Access Control/Door Entry: Paxton, Comelit, Entrotec, BPT, Impro

* CCTV Systems: Hikvision, Hanwha (must be comfortable with networked cameras)

* Fire Alarms: Advanced, Kentec, Morley (SMS/GENT/Protec experience is advantageous)

* Intruder Systems: Texecom, Galaxy

* Confident in Emergency Light testing

Desirable Skills:

* Experience with automated gates or AOV systems

Requirements:

* Full UK driving licence

* Over 23 years old due to van insurance requirements

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Fire & Security industry
