An esteemed client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a highly skilled Chief Inspector to oversee the daily operations of their inspection department. As a Chief Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality assurance and control systems, ensuring that all products meet stringent quality and dimensional requirements. This role is ideal for an experienced Chief Quality Inspector who excels in training others and has a strong background in customer-facing roles.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality systems, reporting their effectiveness to the Senior Management team, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. You will also oversee the inspection staff, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and regulations. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining traceability of components and verifying the completion of manufacturing and inspection operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Your duties as the Chief Inspector will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Ensure company quality systems are adhered to at all times.
2. Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining and promoting quality systems and continuous improvement.
3. Prepare and review Non-conformance Reports, FAIRS, DARs, Concessions, Waivers, and Final Inspection Reports.
4. Oversee inspection staff to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
5. Perform final inspections on items leaving the factory, including verification of route record operations.
6. Create and maintain calibration records within the IFS ERP System.
7. Liaise with outside inspectors and auditors.
8. Create product passports and quality instructions.
9. Monitor quality-related shop floor activities.
10. Record returned and reworked items on non-conformances.

Candidate Profile:
1. Relevant degree in engineering or a related field.
2. Proven industry experience in quality inspection, preferably within aerospace.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with CMM and Faro arm.
4. Experience with IFS (ERP) or similar systems.
5. Strong understanding of ISO9001:2015 and non-conformance reporting.
