Fuel Quality Manager – Energy from Waste

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Fuel Quality Manager to join a large energy from waste business at their EFW plant in Leicestershire.

The Fuel Quality Manager will be responsible for building and managing close working relationships with the fuel suppliers ensuring that the fuel supply agreement is executed effectively in accordance with its terms. This role will eventually cover another site in the Cheshire area which is currently under construction.

Reporting in to the Fuel Supply Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing and coordinating the sites day to day obligations and responsibilities in line with the fuel supply agreement
Carrying out supplier site visits, inspections and audits to ensure fuel quality is maintained
Supporting the O&M teams with waste acceptance, on site inspections, data management ensuring waste deliveries meet a minimum standard
Monitoring of sampling and testing for compliance purposes
Coordination of deliveries
Supporting the Fuel Supply Manager in all aspects of contract management
Preparation of Environment Agency declarations with internal and external stakeholders
Coordinating inspections of the various supply depots which supply the site to ensure duty of care obligations under the environmental permit are discharged
Ensuring H&S standards are maintained at all times
To be considered for this role you should have:

Experience in a similar level role involving managing waste / fuel / feed stock quality and logistics.
Experience of managing waste quality sampling and testing
Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders and external parties at one time
Contract management experience
An understanding of the UK waste industry and relevant policies
Strong relationship management, interpersonal and networking skills
A full UK driving licence is essential for the role due to the required travel to a second site in Cheshire

The Fuel Manager role comes with the following:

A competitive basic salary up to £45,000
