Contract Mechanical Design Engineer

6 -12 month contract (rolling)

Inside IR35

Opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with Inventor or SolidWorks experience to undertake a varied long-term contract.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a solid background in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks to work across a number of key New Product Development projects undertaking detailed conceptual design and supporting the complete project life-cycle. You will also support re-engineering / existing product upgrades.

As Contract Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have the ability to :

Undertake Mechanical Design of New Product Development (complete product Life-cycle)
Undertake detailed designs using 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Inventor)
Concept Generation
Produce Documentation to support Development
Knowledge of manufacturing methods The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have;  

Proven mechanical design experience within a fast-paced development environment (Ideally 4-5 years min)
Experience working on instrumentation of similar complex electro-mechanical products.
3D CAD  - SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
Full Product Life-cycle Design Experience.
