We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Workers to join our client secondary schools in Burton as Cover Supervisors. This flexible role is designed to suit your needs, whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work.
About the Role:
As a Youth Worker/Cover Supervisor, you will:
Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Build rapport with students, inspiring them to achieve their potential.
Assist with managing classroom behavior in line with school policies.
Be a positive role model and provide guidance to young people.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Secondary Cover Supervisor you will:
Have previous experience working in a secondary school setting, ideally as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or similar role involving working with children and being in sole control
Be confident managing classrooms and engaging with students aged 11–16.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different school environments.
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Have previous experience working in a secondary school setting, ideally as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or similar role.
