About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic team in Dagenham, London. This role involves supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with varied Special Educational Needs (SEN). The position is full-time, starting in September, and spans the entire academic year with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN in EYFS.
Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet each child's needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to support children's development.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly in an EYFS setting, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and SEN support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
