PE Support Salary: £95 to £110 per day

GSL Education is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our client schools in Sheffield as a PE Support Specialist. This role is perfect for those passionate about sports and education and looking to gain valuable experience while supporting students in their physical education journey.

Job Summary:

As a PE Support Specialist, you will collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the delivery of Physical Education (PE) lessons. Your role will involve assisting with lesson planning, supporting students in their physical activities, and contributing to the overall management of the PE environment.

PE Support Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and delivery of PE lessons under the guidance of the subject teacher.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them improve their physical skills and confidence.
Create and maintain a supportive and engaging environment for physical activity.
Help the teacher assess student progress and track achievements in PE.
Support the implementation of the school’s behavior management policies during PE sessions.
Assist with maintaining discipline and encouraging active participation in all physical activities.
Essential Requirements for PE Support:

A background or interest in sports or physical education is preferred but not essential.
Passion for working with students and fostering their interest in physical activity.
Adaptability and enthusiasm to learn and grow professionally.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine interest in physical education.
A keen interest in pursuing a career in education or sports support.
Ability to adapt to varying classroom dynamics and educational settings.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
