We are looking to hire an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a 60/40 electrical-to-mechanical bias to join our maintenance team. You’ll be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, ensuring minimal downtime for our manufacturing processes. This is an ideal role for a time-served engineer with experience in PLC controls and electrical systems, ready to step into a position offering a day shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance on various equipment, including PLC-controlled systems, motors, hydraulics, and gearboxes.
* Rapidly respond to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
* Work closely with the production team to optimise equipment performance and support continuous improvement.
* Document maintenance activities and suggest improvements to planned maintenance schedules and practices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Relevant Electrical Engineering qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Strong mechanical skills, particularly in handling gearboxes, motors, and hydraulics.
* Extensive experience with PLC control systems and automation (robotics) in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Working Hours:
* Double Day shift pattern, Monday to Friday (no night or weekend shifts).
