A client within the Public Sector based in Nottinghamshire is currently recruiting for an Assistant Estates Surveyor to join their Property Services Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a commercial estates/property management environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to work as part of a team managing the Council’s commercial property portfolio, development, property disposal, and valuation activities, while developing property knowledge and experience.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• To undertake estates management and associated duties under the direction of senior colleagues
• Assist in effective management of Council-controlled properties (meter readings, fire alarm tests, inspections)
• Support the marketing and letting of Council-owned properties, including site visits and public liaison
• Assist in research, data gathering, report writing, and use of IT systems
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• A Level 3 qualification (e.g., A Levels, NVQ 3 or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it
• Previous experience in estates management, property services, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Ability to write detailed notes and reports and produce line drawings
• Experience dealing with commercial property management issues
• Familiarity with office technology and property-related systems
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £23 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £18 per hour PAYE).
