Service Administrator

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
Hours: Full time, permanent | 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Salary: £26,000–£30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Administrator to join our client’s team. The role will involve scheduling and managing service visits for engineers, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a service / coordination role within the automotive industry – this would be advantageous not required.

Key Responsibilities of a Service Administrator:

* Answering phone calls and greeting visitors at reception.

* Scheduling service and maintenance visits for engineers, grouping visits by location and requirements.

* Managing engineer schedules, ensuring all jobs and time are accurately recorded.

* Issuing and checking service certificates.

* Ordering parts and arranging delivery to site.

* Preparing quotations for work and invoicing completed tasks.

* Coordinating with subcontractors.

* Organising calibration of test equipment.

* Handling miscellaneous administrative tasks as directed by management.

Key Skills of a Service Administrator:

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules proactively.

* Competent in Microsoft Excel and other office software.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and use initiative.

* Knowledge of Sage or similar accounting software is beneficial but not essential.
