About the role: Management Accountant

Shillito Executive Search are proud to be retained by an exceptional and world-renowned manufacturing company based in Sheffield.

Together we are searching for an organised, ambitious and meticulous Qualified Management Accountant to join their team reporting to the Finance Manager. The Management Accountant will be an integral part of their established finance team. The right candidate will be responsible for the production of accurate financial accounts, forecasts, budgets and analysis.

Due to the nature of the role the right Management Accountant MUST hold an Accounting Qualification.

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

Developing financial analysis and reporting, including standardising or automating existing reporting
Monitoring and controlling key WIP /Raw Material stocks
Owning and generating financial accounts package for a number of sites / business units, including preparation of management reports, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts and fixed asset register controls
Monitor and reporting on the financial performance of separate business units, including working with the factory management to improve cost / utilisation performance
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Systems and controls required to produce accurate financial information
Preparing ad-hoc reports as required by Finance and Business managementThe above is not an exhaustive list and you will be required to support the business as required.

Management Accountant Requirements and Qualifications:

Qualified Accountant or actively working towards qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities whilst still working to a high level of detail.
Take ownership and see tasks through from start to finish.
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Be adaptable, flexible and inquisitive.
Show desire to review and improve existing processes.
Strong personality to be able to challenge operations.
Minimum 2 years working experience in a manufacturing environment.Desirable Knowledge:

SAGE Knowledge
Experience in a metal and/or machining-based business
