Qualified Accountant – Small Family Run Practice – Hertfordshire

About the Company:

Our client is a small, family run firm of chartered accountants looking for a qualified accountant (or nearing qualified status) with ambitions to progress.

About the Opportunity:

Due to growth they are looking for a new team member who will be working alongside the principals with varied duties.

About the Responsibilities:

Joining as a qualified accountant you will be responsible for:

* Bookkeeping

* Preparing VAT returns and CIS returns

* Preparing statutory year end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships to senior accountant/partner review stage

* Preparation of corporate and personal tax for senior accountant/partner review

About the Applicant:

As the successful applicant, you will:

* Minimum of 12 months' experience within an UK accountancy practice

* Proficient on MS Office and accounting software (Iris) and bookkeeping packages QuickBooks, Xero, VT Accounting, Sage

* Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

* Good time management and organisational skills

* Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations

* Able to prioritise and multitask effectively

About the Benefits:

* The working week: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) to be worked within the range of 8.00AM to 5.00PM.

* Salary: Negotiable but dependant on experience
