Key Responsibilities:

* Daily communication with clients from booking stage to final delivery including close cooperation with the team to understand requirements and to provide second to none logistics solutions

* Expertly handling day to day import ocean freight operations

* Import Customs processes and formalities

* Building and maintaining client relations for continued business with customers

* Confirming delivery requirements and arranging with the Transport Team

* Supporting customers with general customs advice

* Identifying clients who will benefit from using Compass (online tracking portal)

* Creation of customs and import ocean documents

* Working with HMRC and other customs authorities

Experience / Skills Required:

* Current experience in customs clearances and knowledge of will give any applicant an advantage

* Performing Import Customs clearances

* Competence in handling/submitting additional customs documentation, certificates, or licences

* Knowledge of Tariffs

* Bonded customs, Special/Simplified Customs Procedures

* Understanding of AEO Procedures

* General Customs Compliance

* Understanding of Inco Terms

* Additional declarations for specific destinations and origins

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* Ability to work as part of a team

* Good problem-solving skills
