We are excited to be recruiting an interim Assistant Accountant for a 9-month maternity cover contract. This is a part-time role with some flexibility over working hours. Reporting to the Finance Director, the role will play a key part in supporting month-end procedures, stock reporting, and involvement in various new projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
* Assist the Finance Director with month-end close processes.
* Support stock management activities.
* Provide holiday cover for transactional finance functions.
* Handle ad hoc finance tasks as required.
What We’re Looking For:
* An experienced accounts clerk looking to progress into an Assistant Accountant role, ideally with experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver work with precision.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

* A strong initiative, with the ability to suggest and implement process improvements.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Confident with IT systems, with a willingness to learn new software and processes.
* Proficient in Excel.
