A supportive and welcoming secondary school in Wlatham Forest, East London are looking for graduate teaching assistants starting in January to support the staff and students. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in the education sector, good hours, in a relaxed environment with great structure support offered by the staff. The school is flexible with an inclusive ethos which ensures there are consistently high expectations for all. They are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual who has experience working within a secondary environment.
This role isuntil the end of the academic year with the view to go on to a permanent placement in September
Required:
A Bachelor's degree in Psychology
Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN)
Experience working with secondary school children (age 11-16) in some capacity
Right to work in the UK
Either have or be willing to get an enhanced DBS on the update service, plus provide two references
Responsibilities:
Exact responsibilities will depend on role but may include:
Working with children aged 11-16 operating classes in various subjects.
Helping children with special educational needs
Engaging with students for 4-5 periods
Treating children with respect and kindness
