Job Overview:

The Fast Models DevOps & QA team are looking for a QA engineer to help drive quality improvements in a large, mature codebase. You will play a key role in defining, updating and implementing processes and solutions that will make a real difference to the Fast Models developer teams, and our ability to efficiently deliver high quality software. Your work will help Arm's customers to design their next-generation processors.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day work will vary but might include: working with developer teams to make testing more effective; helping plan a migration to a new tool or service; working across teams to help developers get more benefit from code review; utilizing industry best practices, test data and the latest technologies to support and drive quality improvements.

Required Skills and Experience:

Understanding of how to work effectively with a very large, mature code-base

Experience of QA methodologies

Good understanding of software engineering and the SDLC

Test planning and management

Nice to have Skills and Experience:

Experience with projects to improve software efficiency and quality

C/C++ Build / Debugging (CMake, Ninja, Conan)

CI/CD – Jenkins (preferred), TeamCity, CircleCI, GitLab CI/CD

Robot framework, Pytest

Groovy scripting, DSL

Experience working with Cloud, CI, cross platform testing and version control

Good scripting knowledge, for example Python, Bash

People:

Driven to look for improvements and turn your ideas into reality

Good communications skills, and ability to communicate appropriately with a diverse set of audiences at all levels of the organisation

Highly collaborative team player

Able to build great working relationships with stakeholders and developers outside of the team
