Novax Recruitment is actively seeking an Employee Relations Advisor based in Islington. This project is likely to last between 4-7 months.

The job:

Provide high quality professional HR advice and guidance to senior managers on complex staffing issues relating to both individuals and groups of staff.
Provide expert advice to Headteachers/Leaders on the application of the school's policies, pay and conditions of service, and on the legal and best practice implications of employment issues.
Supporting and undertaking casework on a wide range of human resources issues, including discipline, capability, absence, grievance.
Provide guidance to line managers on how to manage potential ER issues at the informal stage prior to any formal action and necessary follow-on actions, promoting good people management practices across the organisation.
Monitor trends relating to ER cases handled, identifying opportunities to improve policies/ ways of working.
Coach and upskill line managers to reduce casework, supporting them to deliver the appropriate responses to a full range of employee relation casework and change assignments, empowering them to maintain management of the situation.The candidate:

CIPD qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
Experience in an education setting/public sector.
Experience of advising on and supporting restructures, redundancies, TUPE and re- deployment.
Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals.Our client can offer hybrid working.
