We are delighted to be working with a well-established insurance brokerage firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker to join our team in Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with expertise in the construction industry to play a pivotal role in growing our commercial book of business.

You would be focused on the renewals team, helping continue the highest level of service for existing clients.

Responsibilities:

Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns and proactive marketing.
Develop relationships with prospects and new clients through phone calls, video calls, and in-person meetings.
Handle the renewals for a profitable portfolio of commercial clients, with a focus on the construction sector
Conduct comprehensive risk analysis and provide tailored insurance solutions to mitigate risks
Negotiate terms and premiums with underwriters to secure optimal coverage for clients
Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor
Stay current with industry regulations, market trends, and product developments
Achieve and surpass new business and revenue targets
Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience with in commercial insurance broking - any experience with construction policies would be a huge advantage.
Thorough understanding of construction risks, contractual requirements, and risk management strategies
Strong technical expertise in policy wordings, endorsements, and claims handling
Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information
Proficiency in using insurance management systems, preferably Acturis
Commitment to delivering outstanding client service and achieving growth targets
