As part of our expansion programme we are currently looking to recruit experienced:
HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER
Location: Office based in Peterborough, sites throughout the UK & Ireland
Hours: Full Time – Monday - Friday
Salary: Up to £65,000 + p.a - Dependent on Experience Within Our Industry
Pension: Workplace Company Pension Scheme
Vehicle: A Company Vehicle or Allowance will be offered
Our company prides itself on high standards, professionalism and quality of project delivery. Working with numerous high profile clients, ideally we are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager from a Shopfitting / Internal Fit Out / Construction to join our team.
Key Accountabilities:
* Undertake full Health & Safety Audits and report findings to Senior Management.
* Keep KPI’s on all Site Managers & Foremen.
* Check sub-contractors RAMS to verify their accuracy and relevance.
* Check sub-contractors are wporking to their own RAMS and deal with the issue if they are not met.
* Check for general site set up compliance (layout, fencing, parking etc).
* Ensuring all Company Policies & Procedures are being adhered to within the office environment.
* Educate the Site Management Team on Health & Safety expectations.
* Liaising with the Contract Managers to prepare the correct information.
* Preparing information for the O&M Manuals.
* Make sure all Architects drawings are adhered to.
* Verify the latest client drawings are on site and are being adhered to.
Personal Specification & Qualities:
* Up to date knowledge of relevant H&S Legislation, NEBOSH Diploma as a minimum
* Member of IOSH would be advantageous.
* At least 5 years experience of successfully managing Health & Safety in a construction environment.
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to maintain consistent records and asset monitoring
* Ability to be proactive, think logically and pre-empt issues Maintain personal excellence
* Ability to organise, manage & motivate co-workers
* An appreciation of accepted presentation standards
* Construction / Fit Out management experience
* Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
* Commitment to promoting a safe working environment
* Indept knowledge of CDM Regulations and industry standards
