Project Manager
£40.00 - £52.78 per hour
Morson have an opportunity to support one of our defence clients as a project manager within their risk management department. You will be responsible for high level reporting, managing the resources on constantly evolving projects. We need a strong PM Skillset, with experience of risk management in the defence, aerospace, marine, nuclear or engineering industries.
The role is being offered on a 6-month contract, hybrid working Is available with a minimum requirement of 2 days a week on site in Barrow-in-Furness. We can offer the role at a rate £40 per hour PAYE or £52.78 per hour Umbrella.
Responsibilities
Control data management process, with some analysis responsibilities.
Tying reports together to coordinate
Perform intermediate project reporting & scheduling.
Undertake intermediate problem solving.
Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages.
Able to manage the processes on a full project lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved.
Identify, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Applies appropriate methods and tools whether predictive approaches or adaptive approaches.
Essential Requirements
Project management experience with technical background.
Exposure to risk management processes.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project management policies, processes, procedures and systems.
Comprehensive understanding of one or more project control tools techniques and practices.
Knowledge and experience of PM governance and assurance processes such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs).
Desired Requirements
University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry.
Awareness of commercial practices in the defence industry.
Risk management expert.
PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
