Job Specification

Position: CNC Machine Operator

Salary: £12.00 - £14.00ph
Schedule:

* Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

* Saturday: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm

Job Purpose: Set up, maintain, and operate machines to produce joinery parts for window and door production.

Key Responsibilities:

CNC Machine Operation:

* Read construction joinery drawings.

* Operate the 5-axis CNC Router, SCM Accord 25 fx.

* Change cutters and set vacuum clamps as needed.

* Perform daily and weekly maintenance on the machine.

Programming and Software:

* Program the CNC machine.

* Work with Maestro, Alfa Cam, and CAD software to amend programs.

* Set and operate the CNC machine to produce joinery components on a daily and weekly basis.

Drill and Cutter Management:

* Set and operate CNC drills and other cutters.

* Perform daily and weekly maintenance.

* Remove cutters for re-sharpening when necessary.

Block Drill Operation:

* Operate block drillers.

* Lubricate and maintain the machine as required on a daily and weekly basis.

Quality Control:

* Check all parts produced for accuracy and quantity.

Workplace Maintenance:

* Keep the work area clean and tidy.

Health and Safety:

* Prioritise health and safety for all staff.

* Strictly adhere to the company's health and safety policy.
