Job Title: Site Manager National Grid Competent Person – (Substations & Civils)

Rate: £330 - £380 per day

We’re looking for a skilled Site Manager with National Grid expertise specialising in substations and civils projects to join our clients team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on key infrastructure projects with competitive pay and the chance to make a real impact. For this role it is essential that you hold a National Grid Competent Person qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, specifically National Grid standards
Supervise subcontractors and direct site staff, ensuring high-quality standards
Maintain clear communication with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders
Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards, particularly in substation civils projects
Report regularly on project progress, risks, and any issues encountered
Essential Requirements:
National Grid Competent Person (NGCP) status (essential)
Proven experience working on substation projects
Strong background in civils works
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Valid CSCS card (or equivalent)
Up-to-date knowledge of National Grid safety standards
SMSTS or SSSTS certification (preferred)
EUSR
