Job Title: Electrically Biased Engineer (Heavy Industry)

Salary: £45,000+ (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
Our client, a leading company in the heavy industry sector, is looking for a qualified and experienced Electrically Biased Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer with previous experience in industrial environments to apply their expertise in a growing and dynamic company. The role requires flexibility to work a 3-shift pattern, ensuring the continued maintenance and efficiency of critical industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heavy industrial equipment.
Install and commission electrical systems, control panels, and machinery.
Conduct preventative maintenance (PPM) and address unplanned breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Fault-find on electrical systems, control circuits, PLCs, and motor control systems.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and electrical regulations at all times.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Key Requirements:
Level 3 Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
Previous experience in an industrial or heavy industry environment (e.g., manufacturing, production, power generation).
Solid knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, control panels, and motor control circuits.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Familiarity with industry health and safety practices and standards.
Ability to work flexibly across shifts and in a team-oriented environment.
