Role: IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: Newcastle w/ UK wide travel

Duration: 9 Months

Start Date: October 2024

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and finalizing a number of IT infrastructure projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating with both local and central client teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Manage project milestones and deliverables.to ensure on-time project delivery
Develop and deliver progress reports.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
Motivate, and supervise project team members, partners and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure timely delivery of the project.

Requirements

Proven experience in IT infrastructure project management.
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
Flexible during times of change.
Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
