Head of IT - Manchester / Lancashire 

Are you an innovative IT leader with a passion for technology strategy and development? We’re looking for a Head of IT for a small but growing company in the Lancashire area. You will join our client's senior leadership team and drive their IT strategy, development processes, and technology alignment across the business.

Responsibilities:

Lead IT & Development Strategy: Define and execute the IT and software development strategy to align with company goals.

Developer & Testing Management: Manage development and QA teams, ensuring high-quality delivery, coding standards, and efficient processes like Agile/DevOps.

Infrastructure Management: You will oversee cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) and work closely with Infosec to ensure system security and compliance.

Frontline Support Management: Lead IT support teams to ensure fast and effective resolution of technical issues.

Subsidiary Tech Alignment: Ensure unified technology solutions across the company and its subsidiaries, including phone systems and communication tools.

Communication Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between the IT department, the board of directors, and operations, ensuring alignment on all key initiatives.

R&D Project Leadership: Manage and deliver R&D projects, ensuring innovation in tech development and continuous business growth.

Skills and Experience:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience: Significant leadership experience in IT and software development, including managing cloud infrastructure (AWS) and infosec practices.

Technical Skills: Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies, project management, and testing management.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional projects.

Strategic Leadership: Proven track record of aligning IT with business goals and driving innovation across multiple entities.

Infrastructure and Software Development experience.
