The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for several dedicated 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team on nights.

Hours: Shifts across Monday to Saturday (Sunday night to Friday night), midnight to 2am start times (approximately 8-10 hours shifts).

We are also offering a £2.00 p/h uplift throughout 17th November - 14th December.

Pay Rates (2 payment options):

* £14.43 (PAYE).

* £16.16 (with holiday pay).

Location: Barnsley, S74.

Job Type: Long term ongoing.

The role:

* Pick up the vehicle from our client's site and drive to our client's customer location.

* Driver will be required to load the van on occasion with the designated items and the vehicle will be sealed after loading (a photograph of the interior will be taken).

* Following this, driver will then commute to one of our client's depots and unload the vehicle under supervision when required, documenting the unloaded items by taking a photo of the interior.

* Returning to the original depot empty.

* Occasionally doing collection runs as required.

Requirements:

* Full UK driving licence with 7.5 Tonne entitlement (category C1).

* Minimum of 3 months proven experience.

* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

* Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.

* Full understanding of WTD legislation.

* Excellent communication skills.

* A safety-first mindset.

* Be accustomed to working unsociable hours.
