What responsibilities does the Lab Technician hold?

Collect and analyse samples to ensure regulatory and quality compliance.

Conduct routine analysis of lab samples to ensure compliance with environmental standards.

Monitor chemical solutions in production processes to ensure consistency with operational specifications.

Provide chemical adjustment recommendations to operators based on laboratory analysis results.

Maintain and update accurate records of all laboratory tests and analysis.

Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve any relevant faults.

Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained for reliable test results and safety.

What attributes to the ideal Lab Technician?

A real interest in Chemistry / Chemical engineering.

Experience in any previous lab-based role is preferred but not necessary.

Some familiarity with chemical testing and analysis.

Foundation understanding of pH testing titration and spectroscopy.

Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols in a laboratory environment.

The ability to identify potential safety hazards and implement preventive measures effectively.

Exposure handling laboratory equipment and maintaining a safe workspace.
