Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading recycling and waste services management company. They are looking to recruit a supervisor to support he day to day running of 3 Windrow Composting sites around the Exeter area.

The Composting Supervisor role comes with a starting salary of up to £34,000 + other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

Supervise and support the composting operations across the 3 sites.
Telehandler operation to move wave and materials around the site.
Perform daily and weekly checks on the facility and completing associated paperwork.
Carry out routine and minor repairs, plan and organise maintenance across sites.
Ensure health & safety compliance, and PPE guidelines are followed.
Liaise with regulatory inspectors when required.
Other duties as required.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Experience in compositing/ recycling, or similar environment, working with plant operations and routine maintenance activities.
Proven experience supervising and leading a team, highly desirable if this has been across multiple locations.
Knowledge of PAS100.

Salary and benefits of the Composting Supervisor role

Salary between £30,000 up to £34,000 (DOE).
Monday - Friday.
Company car/ car allowance.
