Community Halls Assistant

My client is recruiting for a Community Halls Assistant based within the local Authority in East London and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

To assist and maintain a central booking system and contact point for residents and the general public and to maximise the use of community halls generating sufficient funds to maintain services.

To process invoices, including raising purchase orders, cheque requisitions, checking and authorising payments for community halls.
Collate up to date records for all aspects of community halls including repairs, using Cedar, Paris, Universal Housing and other in-house systems.
Support with the effective monitoring and management of the customer receptions and facilities.
To contribute towards service development plans, local initiatives and team plans to develop the overall quality of customer services.Requirements

Knowledge of social housing and community development
Understanding of running or managing multiple buildings or community facilities.
Experience of general administrative work and/ or clerical work in a busy office environment.
Experience of dealing with customer queries either face to face or by telephone.Contract 

Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend 
PAYE via Umbrella 
Monday to Friday
9am to 5pm As the role is Local Authority based candidates will be asked to complete an onboarding & compliance checks including DBS & Online training modules prior to starting.
