Midday Learning Support Assistant

Daily rate: £90-£100

Start date: Ideally as soon as possible.

Location: Chesterfield, S41.

About you: Are you an experienced teaching assistant maybe looking for an alternative role? Perhaps you have experience working with pupils with behavioural needs and/or learning difficulties and looking for a full-time role. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of food hygiene and food safety to join our team and support teachers in classrooms whilst also supporting the running of our small kitchen.

Your role will include (but not limited too):

You will work under the guidance of senior staff with an agreed system of supervision in and out of the classroom, assisting in the general care and needs of pupils. You will be required to assist the food teacher in management and preparation of resources.

-          Support pupils in the breakfast period during tutor time, lunchtime and food classes.

-          Support the teacher during food lessons with behaviour management.

-          Support with the organisation, preparation, ordering and clearing away of breakfast time, food lessons and lunchtime.

-          Support pupils whilst they are having a meal and promote good behaviour at all times

-          Support with the management of the staff room, staff break time and staff wellbeing by ensuring drinks are available at break.
