The Role
As the Engineering Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining, improving, and future-proofing the plant's electrical and mechanical systems. You’ll lead a team of skilled engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Manage and inspire the engineering team to deliver high-quality maintenance and support.
Hands-On Expertise: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
Planned Maintenance: Oversee and enhance PPM schedules to minimise downtime.
Continuous Improvement: Drive projects to optimise processes, reduce costs, and improve equipment performance.
Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to health, safety, and food safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Electrically Biased Expertise: A strong electrical background with solid mechanical knowledge.
Leadership Experience: Proven success in leading and developing a team.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, ideally with an HND/HNC.
Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Sector Experience: Previous experience in food manufacturing or FMCG is highly desirable.
