Multiskilled Engineer

Pin Point Recruitment is looking for a Multiskilled Engineer for a renowned industrial and commercial laundry business based in Kendal

The company is a nationwide rental business who offer bespoke solutions to their customers, offering a vast range of different products that are designed and maintained to provide superior reliability compared to their competitors.

As the Multiskilled Engineer you will be accountable for the completion of work, in a quality and timely manner. You will provide support in relation to all maintenance tasks and projects being undertaken, including day to day breakdown, PPM, equipment updates, new installations, and building/infrastructure upgrades.

Multiskilled Engineer Job Role:

* To ensure all PPM activities are completed on time as required, feeding back information to the Senior Engineer to improve the PPM system and activities.

* To work closely with the Engineer on the opposite shift to ensure all handover of ongoing activities is carried out every day, and sharing all other information and practices as required.

* To provide knowledge and input into continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.

* Work with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager to identify long running problems and suitable solutions.

* To ensure that as part of the Engineering team, always look to improve equipment performance, reliability, and running costs for replacement parts and consumables.

* To undertake repairs to equipment in a safe and timely manner ensuring that Production is constantly updated on progress.

* To undertake remedial engineering works to equipment or site as instructed by the Engineering Manager.

* To ensure any risks of safety or failure of equipment or site are communicated to the Manager.

Hours:

* 4 nights per week Monday -Thursday 9pm – 7am

Or

* Earlies one week, lates the next

Skills Required:

* Mechanical Fabrication/Maintenance.

* Electrical Installation Maintenance – desirable

* Electronic fault finding to component level – desirable

* Preferred knowledge of other engineering disciplines including pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems.

* Electrical Installation 18th Edition – desirable
